Netflix Chooses Perfect Star for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to reality, including leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
