British Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters Prohibition
A police and crime commissioner from the West Midlands has requested an urgent review of the decision to ban the Israeli team's supporters from attending the forthcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the force, explains that this appeal aims to verify whether the ban is suitable, necessary, warranted, sensible, and a balanced measure to achieve a legitimate aim.
"This should involve consideration of every and any suitable, other choices," Foster emphasizes.
He has additionally requested to examine the written decision and recommendation from the advisory group, as well as the police assessment.
The commissioner underscores, though, that the final decision belongs to the committee and the police.
